What this site is for

RarePetCare publishes care guides and reference material about exotic and unusual pets. Everything here is offered for general information. You are welcome to use it for your own research, and to share links with anyone who would find it useful.

Accuracy

Care requirements for exotic species vary between sources and change as understanding improves. We write what the available guidance supports and say so when sources disagree, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is correct or current for your particular animal. Nothing here replaces a consultation with an exotics veterinarian, and the full position is set out in our disclaimer.

The site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any decision made on the basis of something published here, nor for any loss, injury to an animal, or expense that follows from it, nor for the site being unavailable.

Comments left on guides are moderated. We remove anything abusive, off topic, promotional, or that gives advice likely to harm an animal. By posting you grant us permission to display and, if necessary, edit or delete what you wrote. Comments express the views of whoever wrote them, not ours.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, scrape it at volume, or republish its content elsewhere. The guides, images and layout on this site belong to us and are protected by copyright. Short quotations with a link back are fine and always welcome.

Third party links and advertising

Some pages link to outside websites, and the site carries advertising served by third parties. We do not control that material and are not responsible for the content, accuracy or privacy practices of anywhere you end up after leaving this site.
